Jai ho is like an extended government advert issued in
public interest. Ex-army officer Jai with his vigilante
nature coupled alongside his (literally) biting instincts fight against the social
ills in the society. The movie is a remake of the telugu movie, Stalin.
The story is so cheesy that a cheeseburst pizza will feel ashamed.
The ‘L’ word, logic, like in so many movies today is non-existent. The
screenplay and cinematography is descent. The action sequels make one question
whether the character has superpowers but then again he is an ex-ArmyMan, if u know what I mean.
Remember ‘Ek baar jo maine commitment kar di to mai apne aap
ki bhi nai sunta’? Well, Salman Khan has taken his commitments too seriously and
then there are Sohail’s and that his how the entire cast was made. What else
would explain all the junior artists from the industry present for every role
in the movie?
Once the audience is past placing which actor used to act where,
can he proceed to see their acting, which is only okay. Salman Khan is 'the' hero and he is good. Tabu is amazing. But this kid, Naman Jain (as Jai’s nephew) is
fabulous and it is fun whenever we see him.
The music with songs like love you till the end and tere
naina are just fine. If not a Salman fan and you plan to watch it,
1. Suniel Shetty (for his cameo, trust me) 2.Naman Jain 3.To learn
the art of covering your ear when a good
‘help 3 philosophy’ is over-killingly mentioned the nth time.
